Hello everyone, my name is Dan. I am 42 years old and have lived in Tucson Arizona my entire life. I have been happily married for twelve years, and am the proud parent of an 11 yr. old son named Bryan. I am employed with the City of Tucson. With the exception of my family, the two most important things in my life are Hot-Rods and Rock & Roll! Which happen to be the two greatest American inventions as well, and I was put on this earth to celebrate both of them. I have a 1931 Ford, 5-window, Model-A Coupe. Checkout the photo gallery for images as well as details about the car. It was built by a very good friend of mine named Kirk Ward, who is the best metal fabricator in the State of Arizona. I belong to a car club called: THINGS? Our club is fairly new, and the only two prerequisites for becoming a member are: You must have an original steel pre-WWII car; and it must be built in a manner which is consistent with traditional hot rodding. My father and little brothers own an automotive repair shop, and are also members of the car club. Myself, and my two best buddies make up the rest of the club, only six in all... Like I said we are a fairly new club, and four of our six cars are still under construction. But hey, that is the fun of it.
Take everyone,
Dan

Hi Dan,

Thanks for taking the time to post here and Welcome!

I love the old rat rod photos that you have sent in as they remind me of the cars that i dreamed of owning as a kid while checking out all the old Hot Rod magazines that were given to me back in the 60's

I can't wait to see the other cars you & your brother, and friends are working on.

Hello everybody

My name is Guido, I'm 55 years old and I live in Ferrara (Italy).
After years of indecision, 3 years ago, at last I decide I could not leave anymore without a Corvette, so I looked for the car and imported a '75 corvette from Fortworth (TX) to my home.
It was long and wonderfull adventure with some thrilling moment also, in fact th ship with the car left Huston harbour just three days befor the famous tornado that destroyed St.Louis in 2005.
When the car arrived at her new home she -yes it is she, not it- got some minor mechnaical and external restoring, a quite new interiors, and the engine got oly new spark plugs, carburation cleaning and tuning -thank to Tim's manuals-; after that the car is still running very well.
I spoke with previous owner that told me the engine was never been rebuilt or opend, and it is still that; probably the worker that built it in 1975 couldn't think that she would be still running on Italian raods 34 years later, sill beeing head-turner american steel

Hey Guido,

It's good to see you made it over here! and thanks for introducing yourself to the gang here.

I have been online buddies with Guido for about 3 years now exchanging jokes and letters now and then since we met over a manual for a Quadrajet Carburetor for his Corvette.

A funny story about what a small world we live in,

Last year i had posted a few photos of a neat 1964 Cadillac Hearse over at my other website, and talk about a really small world, even though Guido lives in Italy, he had seen the car himself when visiting the states in California

I posted his story here below the photos, check it out.
